Course Descriptions:

Heartsaver First Aid and/or CPR&AED
Heartsaver courses are designed for the general public, whether you need First Aid and/or CPR&AED for a job requirment or want basic classes for your own needs. A variety of courses are offered including CPR&AED (adult only and all ages), First Aid only, and First Aid with CPR&AED combined classes. All Heartsaver certification cards are valid for 2 years.

Heartsaver eLearning
Heartsaver Skills Evaluation for the completion of the AHA online courses. This course option offers you a time saving way to receive the same Heartsaver cards as above. eLearning course options include CPR&AED, First Aid only, and First Aid with CPR&AED. This course is recommended for renewals. For more information about the online course click here Note: A separate fee is charged for the online courses and is paid on the AHA website.

BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR&AED
BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR&AED courses are designed for people working or training in the healthcare profession. Included are both in-hospital and out-of-hospital professions such as physicians, nurses, dentists, paramedics, EMTs, respiratory, physical and occupational therapists, physician assistants, residents or fellows, medical, dental, nursing students, CNA students, medical & nursing aids students, and other allied health personnel.

This course teaches how to perform CPR on adults, children, and infants (including rescue breathing with a mask, a bag-mask device, and oxygen); how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED); and how to help someone who is choking. Passing a practical skills and written exam are required for certification. The BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR&AED card is valid for 2 years.

We offer 2 class options:

1) BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR&AED (Initial or Renewal): This is the traditional classroom training for initial certification, for upgrading from a Heartsaver or community CPR card, or for recertification of an expired BLS card.

2) Skills Evaluation for the BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR&AED Online Review (Renewal Only): You must have an AHA Healthcare Provider or RC Professional Rescuer card that is no more than 30 days expired. This is an alternative to the traditional classroom training. The AHA Online eLearning course must be completed prior to attending the Skills Evaluation testing session.
